Paul Cully – Manager – "the beard" has led the side through a difficult, injury plagued, first season in Division Two. A top 6 six finish is on the cards, wrapped up with a second cup final in as many years.
Tony Cedrone – Assistant Manager/Cameraman – combining his assistant's duties with cameraman duties is no mean feat, but add to that his singing talents and you have a first class number two.
Rob Thwaites – the eldest member of the squad; recently recovered from an early season fractured zip-bone to return between the sticks. His return has strengthened our defensive unit as a whole and also led to a notable improvement on the quiz machine in the pub.
Rob Cully – an excellent shot stopper, Rob has taken a back seat in recent months to get over niggling injuries and concentrate on running the London Marathon in April this year. All sponsorship is welcomed at www.justgiving.com/robcully.
Aston Carter – adaptable Aston has been a useful addition to the squad this season. He has been called upon both on-field and in goal this year, due to injuries to both keepers mid season. Has no desire for defensive walls after studying the Shaka Shaka Hislop free-kick Dvd boxset.
Matt Cully – has proved his versatility this season playing at full back, wide in midfield and even in goal on one occasion (keeping a clean sheet). His long throw missiles have caused havoc among defences, and banking qualifications have kept the clubs finances in order.
Tony Vullo – another excellent season from Tony “The Tank Engine”. Improving with every game, Vullo has also been a threat going forwards, scoring an important brace in the Roy Bailey Cup early season, pleasing his fans and mentor Paulo Cat back in the Sicilian suburbs of Palermo.
Chris Wicks – always hungry for success, his appetite for goals has been filled with a few stints up front, scoring 4 goals on one occasion. However, Chris has mainly been used as a centre half, always dominant in the air, with excellent distribution of the ball. The team caterer, he has excelled in producing a variety of after match meals in the second half of the season.
Neal Dodd – captain of the side and captain of his red Nissan Micra, has led by example once again this season – both on and off the pitch. Neal “The Seal” scored the vital equalising goal with 20 minutes remaining of the quarter final against Turnford Rangers and promises to reveal his Speedo’s with a goal tonight.
Craig Norris – after his move into London, his appearances have been more limited this season; a versatile player who adds quality in whatever position he plays. Craig looks like Alice in Wonderland with the timekeeping skills of the white rabbit.
Tony Wright – strong left back, who joined the club this season. Injuries and personal commitments have kept appearances to a minimum, but we hope to have him fit and available for selection tonight.
Chris Cedrone –Speedy Winger and another who has suffered with frequent injury problems this year. Co-producer of the legendary end of season dvd's and Guardian of team mascot Rory, lives and breathes everything Turnford Geese as shown by his angry celebrations in which he communicates to the Canadian Geese community.
Peter Enefer – creative midfielder who adds a touch of class to the side, and more than a touch of class to a team night out. Cream of the crop from this year’s Geese Skill School, Petey is a fan of West Ham, Grot and his dad’s bus route.
Andy Perry – central midfield penguin pirate, whose work rate is second to none. Animated Perry has been a crucial element in reaching the final and would give his goose contaminated blood for the gaggle. He thrives on the honking sounds that resonate from Tony Perry’s E-Bay acquired goose whistle. Missed a month of the season, in which we failed to win a game… Phil Baker – another new signing this season, has provided much needed balance on the left hand side of midfield. Phil is a full time fire-fighter who founded the “When a fire starts to burn” scheme in which he teaches fire safety to junior schools.
Dave Armstrong – another fantastic season from the full back plumber. Armstrong has been moved into midfield in recent weeks, to stunning effect, including scoring the last minute semi-final winner. His seagull like boots are now said to be selling like hot cakes.
Lee Ellerbeck – first season back after cruciate ligament injury and has scored some important goals – including the 2nd round equaliser against Hadley Green and winning shoot out penalty. Son Casey is already being touted as a future Geese star despite his fear of horse’s heads.
Richard Bates – hard man of the team, his appearances have been limited this season through Saturday football commitments. Adds bite to the midfield, performances are enhanced by a Venezuelan "M&B" sponsored gum shield that makes him No.1 painter and decorator in Broxbourne.
Paul Dodd – sides top scorer, who has recently reached notched his century for the geese, including the quarter final winner against Turnford Rangers as a substitute. Saturday commitments have also reduced appearances a little, but has excelled running the line on numerous occasions!
Simon Hoy – a talented 15 goal a season left winger, undoubtedly one of the best players in the Mercury League. Unfortunately, his season ended in the 2nd round game with Hadley Green, when he damaged his cruciate ligament. We hope to have a fully fit Simon back next season.
Brett Norris – sadly we lost Brett to a ruptured cruciate ligament the week after Simon. A pacy, strong winger or forward who would also weigh in with his fair share of goals, despite his lack of self confidence.
Paul Cavill – a new signing this season, but has struggled with injury and baby sitting duties, limiting him to just a handful of appearances. A strong committed centre half, who we look forward to having back next season.
Martin Belsey – funny man of the squad, has played in a number of positions when called upon – including an excellent appearance in goal in the Roy Bailey Cup (one of six goalkeepers employed this season!). A broken ankle has seen him on crutches of late, giving him time to focus on his duties for the newly formed Geese quiz team!
Matt Hully – back from a second operation on his broken "robot" leg. The NHS didn’t manage to remove the screws from his ankle which has taken some time to get over. Has appeared only a few times this season, but entertained considerably in those outings, scoring once. Has survived the Cheltenham Race Festival without major debts for another year.
Gennaro Vullo – Joined the Club with a mid-season transfer from A.C. Enfield and becomes the second ever Vullo to wear a claret and amber jersey. He aims to impress the gander and become the favourite Sicilian in the squad.
