Turnford Geese Football Club was founded in 2005 by the late William R Goose, (supporter of the Transfused Fund.) Founder Bill Goose started his playing career in the early 60’s playing for a number of teams including Aldershot Town, Colchester United, and Welsh Premier League side Bangor City. As his playing days ended, Bill’s love for the sport grew stronger. His thoughts now turned to management, acting as assistant manager for many of the local Semi-professional clubs in the late 80’s. After moving to Turnford to retire Bill used much of his time drawing up a plan to create his own Football Club. The club was originally scheduled to play competitive football in ’98 but due to an undisclosed illness Bill’s health deteriorated and the plan stalled. Sadly Bill passed away at the end of last year aged 67, leaving a committee of six board members to carry on where Bill left off. |

We are hoping for a successful first season in the football league, we would like to take this chance to thank the Board and Committee for appointing a Manager, Assistant Manager, Director of Football, Groundsman, Physio, Trainer, Fitness Coach, and Team Mascot Rory Goose (In memory of William R Goose). |
