After weeks of speculation, finally a fee has been agreed to bring midfield maestro Peter Enefer to Goffs Lane. Personal terms have been established and the transfer will go ahead subject to a medical during the early part of next week. Enefer put pen to paper Sunday evening pictured above with Director of football Tony Perry (right) and player’s agent David Enefer.

Peter nicknamed “the farmer” was delighted with the move, being available for selection for the game against Highgate Redwing. Pete’s previous clubs include Ware reds, Nazeing Youth, and most recently he was part of a very successful U18 set up playing for Cheshunt. Director of football Tony Perry added, “He’s been brought in to add more depth and fire power, I know he will be very happy here,” The player himself was impressed by last weeks cup victory against Dynamo Cross, he hopes to join up with the rest of the team as training resumes Wednesday.

This week Turnford Geese confirmed Serie B outfit Piacenza had tabled a bid to take Adamo Castiglione to Italy. Director of football Tony Perry held talks with the 23 year old full back, but neither wanted Adamo to go anywhere. Despite this, italian sports newspaper La Gazzetta Dello Sport claim that Adamo was viewing houses in the Piacenza region.
Pino Packer visited Castiglione at the training lodge midweek. “Obviously its nice to know your wanted by any team, especially one in my homeland. But I’m happy here and I believe we can win things.” Piacenza President Fabrizio Garilli has had his eye on Castiglione for two seasons and was close to signing him before the Geese closed the deal at the start of this season. Garilli was hoping that personal terms were agreed and the transfer would go through when the window opens in January.

We are pleased to announce winger James Musk has just signed a three-year deal with a leading cosmetic company, creating a new self-titled fragrance for men. An insider told us that James has been working very closely with the team to get just the smell he was after. The Aftershave, titled “James Musk for Men” is the first in a range of products hoped to be in stores by Christmas. Musk, a favourite amongst the lady fans spoke to our reporter Pino Packer
“It all happened so quickly really, I was approached 6 months ago at a party, I thought more men should smell like me so I gave it the nod”

This good news follows James Musk’s second goal of the season against Highgate Redwing at the weekend which saw the Geese win 6-3.

Turnford Geese mascot Rory the goose has cancelled plans to migrate south this winter due to a possible health risk amongst the bird community. An outbreak of the fatal virus “avian influenza virus (AVI)” or more commonly known “Bird Flu” is starting to sweep the world and posing a threat to all birds including our beloved Geese.
Although Rory enjoys his yearly migration, he is said to be pleased to be staying at home. He feels that his new role as Turnford Geese mascot takes priority and was thinking about packing in all that long distance flying anyway and becoming an unconventional Goose.
Rory also expressed his delight in that he won’t miss a bulk of fixtures and will be there to support his boys. But in these uncertain times for the likes of Rory, he will be very limited on movement and unable to come into contact with other bird beings. Jenny Belsey has already volunteered to keep Rory out of harms way on a match day.

Rory would like to thank our players, especially Dave Perry who sent Rory a card and a some DVD’s (Mighty Ducks and Chicken Run) to occupy Rory when in confinement. Turnford Geese wish Rory and our geese brothers and sisters well and hope that bird flu doesn’t have reach to Goff’s Lane.

TONY PERRY IN BARE KNUCKLE BOXING SHOCKER
Director of Football Tony Perry was today named and shamed as a participant of an unlicensed bare-knuckle boxing scandal hitting the capital by storm. Perry was thought to have been among six men fighting at the underground haunt Smithfield meat market when police raided the scene and arrested eight men. It was revealed “TP the Cleaver” as known to many, not only fought but was a main coordinator in the sordid operation. A spokesman for the Turnford Geese committee issued the following Statement
“Unlicensed boxing covers a wide range of fighters and fighting contests but this doesn't mean that the fighters are taking part in anything illegal. We defend our footballing director of all charges raised against him, Tony Perry is a highly-respected member of our staff and will continue to be into the future”
Perry, released on bail is due in court in early January next year.
